New Kismo Touareg

Here it is, a 2004 Vw Touareg V10 TDI 30500 km.

I decided after the Supra went I needed a car which would be able to bring me places in comfort, not to expensive to run, look nice, be able to carry a lot of lugage ”my tuning equipment” and fast if I need to.

These criterias was hard to meet until I sudenly thought of this monster truck, basically this is an road going airplane alike comfort with a 5,0 liter diesel V10 engine producing 313 hp and 750 nm of torque, and because of running diesel its pretty cheap as my average is 7,8-8,5 km pr. liter diesel, please keep in mind this is a 2,6 ton vehicle so quite impressive figures I must say.

So in turn the ultimate car I could find I guess, obviously not as glamorous as a Porche Cayenne or an Audi Q7 but they are to expensive to either run or buying a decent low milage example.

Being a tuner I could not resist ”adjusting” the engine management as this engine packs enormous amounts of power.My first sutle tuning modification made 395 hp and 1003 nm of torque which is pretty impressive stuff.I now accelerates 0-100 km/h in just 6,15 secs and runs a quarter mile in 14,4 secs.Not bad for a every day 2,6 ton super comfortable vehicle.

There will be some updates from Vw as far as I know, gearbox software and new turbo’s which when I find out their new advantages will try to explore even more power from the engine.Im quite sure this engine can produce some 450 hp and 1150 nm  of torque and still be reliable, the question is can everything around it?.
